Doesn’t offer concrete policies, and has only a basic grasp of the resources available to the community and the issues that the community faces. Has done minor intersectionality work in the past, and his policies and awareness seem limited to his own personal experiences and not those of the LGBTQ+ community. His policies seemed to misunderstand the wants and needs of the queer community, specifically those of trans and non-binary students. His policies assumed, but did not include, the perspective of queer students on campus, and he defended his lack of knowledge and advocacy with his heterosexuality.

"I also think, in the current climate with certain abuses coming to light, there is a lack of trust between the LGBTQ+ community and Campus Ministry. I acknowledge that I can’t know all of the challenges that the community faces but nevertheless, I am very much committed to learning and understanding some of the issues being faced and the steps the community requires to move forward to a more positive path—where every member feels loved and safe."

"Some resources available to the LGBTQ+ community on campus are the LGBTQ+ resource center, the McDonough Alliance, QPOC, and more I’m sure. I think that in order to expand these resources I have to be able to understand first what the experiences of members in the community have been with these resources. From there, we can coordinate with leaders or LGBTQ+ and ally organizations to craft a direct plan to improve these resources (find ways to better fund them and expand their presence on campus)."

"As a student activist, my focus has not been on the LGBTQ+ community up to this point, mostly because I am a cis-gender, heterosexual man and I don’t think I can make desicions or accurately represent their wants and needs. That said, I recognize the importance of the community and I consider myself an ally, and as a senator my freshman year I voted in favor of several LGBTQ+ related resolutions that came to the floor."

"One example of a partnership between the Residential Living Team and the LGTBQ+ community is establishing an all gender floor in a specific dorm, not like an LLC but rather a permanent all gender floor to accomodate the need for a safe space for people who are non-binary. Moreover, my background in Campus Ministry enables me to foster a collaborative and productive dialogue between members of the LGBTQ+ community who identify with any of the faiths represented at Georgetown."
